Bridging the Gap is an exposure, an exposure to family bonding. It is an ardent appeal to maintain a sound equilibrium between the past and the present, the present and the future.

For the author, this appeal had been lodged against her by her father. Now it has been extended to her children. In the near future, it would be passed on to her grandchildren too, she thinks.
