I received an LCP file. How do I open it?
Some e-books are copy-protected and are therefore displayed as an LCP file on your e-reader after purchase. You only need to enter your personal LCP password, which you can find on the page Open LCP file in your personal area, when you open the e-book for the first time.
How to open an LCP file on your e-reader:
-
Open the library on your PocketBook e-reader.
-
Tap on the file with the extension ‘.lcp’.
-
When the download is complete, a window will open on the display.
-
Enter your personal LCP password and confirm with ‘OK’.
-
Your e-book will now be displayed as an EPUB file in your library. Tap on it to open it.
-
Enjoy reading!
You can also read purchased LCP-protected e-books in our official apps:
If you prefer to read on a desktop, you can use one of many third-party applications supporting LCP, such as Thorium Reader.
