The Coffeehouse- In this novel, Naguib Mahfouz explores the friendship five friends from the neighborhood, two from eastern Abbasiya, where the wealthy of the past lived in the Sarayat, and two from the more humble Western Abbasiya, and the fifth is the narrator, who many think represents Mahfouz.
