Light in August, one of Faulkner's magnum opuses, plays an important role in Yoknapatawpha series of novels. The novel describes ten days of social life in the Jeff town, and expresses eternal true feelings, love, sympathy, pride, mercy and spirit of sacrifice in the deep heart.
