The Smell of The Sea

The novel takes place in Alexandria and tells the story of Rania, a wife who is betrayed by her doctor husband through her friend who works in the same hospital. The wife tries to please her husband and save him, and raises many questions about the meaning of love, the problems of marriage, and the implications of all of this on social life in Egypt or any other Arab society.
