Dentro de las acciones del proyecto de protección a la producción del cultivo del café en Colombia desarrolladas por el ICA en 17 departamentos cafeteros, una de gran relevancia es la prevención del ingreso de plagas exóticas, que por su importancia cuarentenaria pueden llegar a causar grandes pérdidas socio económicas al sector cafetero de nuestro país.
